HAZARD: "I'M SIGNING FOR TOTTENHAM"

Tottenham look to have pipped Manchester United and Chelsea to the signature of much sought after hotshot Lille striker Eden Hazard.

In demand Hazard reportedly told friends that he has chosen to sign for Spurs.

After confirming he will leave Lille for the Barclays Premier League at the end of the season, it was thought the Belgium midfielder, 21, had agreed personal terms with Chelsea but Sportsmail say that according to sources in France, he has settled on Spurs.

Lille's £35million asking price for Hazard was thought to be prohibitive, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy intends marking his club's likely Champions League return with a marquee signing.

Sportsmail also say that Tottenham are planning moves for Newcastle keeper Tim Krul and Ajax skipper Jan Vertonghen.
