Reports in the Russian, British and Italian press claim that former England manager Fabio Capello could be in line for a move to the Russian Premier League with big-spending Anzhi.
According to the Sport-Express paper, Capello is currently in Moscow for talks with Anzhi bosses.
Capello resigned from his job as manager of the Three Lions this week after the Football Association went against his wishes and stripped John Terry of the captaincy.
Reports claim the Italian could be in line to replace manager Yuri Krasnozhan at the Dagestan club.
General Director Alan Soziev has already been sacked fuelling speculation Krasnozhan, who only joined the team on January, could be next. An announcement is expected to be made on Monday.
With the Russian season resuming next month, Anzhi are seventh on the table and six points off a Champions League spot.
